Hello I am a Law Enforcement professional that seeks advise on a business to start. I am so sick of the marketing schemes and scams that people portray as credible. In May 2008, I achieved my Masters degree in Management and my Undergrad is in Business Administration. Presently I am employed FULL time (state government) and PART time (federal contractor). Is it safe to say that I should embark on a certification to specialize in something to get me to the next level. My goal is to start my OWN business. Any ideas?.--Answer1:Hire me as your manager. Pay me well & give me a fast company car, gas card & cell phone. ;-)Mary in Camden, MI.--Answer2:Having been in a similar situation, I can tell you that your best bet is to pound the pavement, network, and get your name out there.Unless youre going to try to work for really large businesses, I wouldnt bother with certification, assuming you already know what youre doing.Put your heart into your work, be better than the next guy, and eventually, word of mouth will work to your advantage, but just be prepared for many months of little to no income from this business..--Answer3:I have some idea, if you do intersted just email me i will share with you my idea.
