When they scan an item for 4.99, if i found another item at the same price for 4.99 would they have the same barcode? Answer1:Ive never shopped at a Goodwill store that uses bar codes. The two in my neighborhood use handwritten tags (which are always stapled directly to the article of clothing, which sometimes mean my t-shirts have holes in the sleeve!) Answer2:Nope. The barcode also accounts for the day the item was brought in; the color; type of item; etc.
