I have a new small business called Wondercide. It is Natural, Chemical Free, Organic, Pest Control for pets, people & property. Because its chemical free pesticide...and no one seems to understand that, I need to get the message across that 1.)Pesticides are toxic. This includes spot drop flea control for dogs, Deet sprays like Off for people, all the crap people spray around the house. 2.)Pest control companies say that they use safe products, but the EPA regulates them and has hundreds of reports of toxicity. In fact the US is one of the only countries that still allow the sale of pesticides. Most of them are scheduled to come off of the shelves in 2010.So, how do I best state what my product does, what it is, how it works in just a few words (for marketing pieces). You can view my site to see the taglines and phrases we have already applied for TM and are in use. http://www.Wondercide.comAlso, I find that some people, though Eco-sensitive, dont want Do-It-Yourself products, especially when it comes to bugs. Any suggestions?I welcome any feedback. Answer1:appeal to parents.. make sure to use "chemical free" "children" and "family" in the same sentence. Maybe even pet owners..theyll be under the impression that your product is 100% safe no matter how they use it, even if that isnt 100% true..unfortunately to sell anything you have to use marketing tactics and white lies. Answer2:Hi,I think you have to be clear that it is a pesticide and it is toxic. And explain rather than using chemicals, you use organic based compounds for the purpose for whatever (I am sure you use organic for a reason).Usually, people have a set of perceptions. Not wanting to deal with bugs is just one of them. Thats where you need to deal with their fears or perception - and one thing that matters to them, dollars!I am no copywriter but that is whom you need to get. You can check out the link below on copywriting tips and ideas. Hope this would help your product.God bless & Happy New Year,Josh Answer3:Well Im not sure how much I can be....but maybe you should try including a phrase along the lines of..."simply spray Wondercide around your property..etc..."The point being your throwing in an adjective that implies how easy it is to apply your product.Secondly I would change the layout of your home page so that your points are more eye catching (other than the difference of color in the writing)Thirdly, to be honest the "Buy Now"s you have on the page seem....well.....a little cheesy. Maybe you could change that up a bit.Hope I didnt offend you...just my thoughts from looking at your site. Good Luck with the business! Answer4:i found the site very interesting a better way t deliver cedar is a great pesticide. place your site and printed ads where organic gardeners will find them. concentrate some links on green or environmental websites. if you are a distributor not the manufacturer of this product consider the added sales of a pest control service and sublet the work. Answer5:I looked at the site as if I were shopping for natural pest control and this is what Id do:1. Move this line to the top of the page: Chemical Free Pest Control 2. This would be my 2nd section, not waay down the current page: 100% Natural • Organic • Repels & Eliminates: 3. Change the inner panels to reflect black text on white background. The site is hard to read with white text on brown background. I think making a tab for each segment would help. Home owners for one tab and pet owners on a different tab. Also, lose the comparison to the chemical companies...thats the hurdle for most people. Tell me why yours is better, not how bad their products are. Cedar? Why? Because......Point#1, #2, #3, #4.As a pet owner, youre not answering my primary question on the first page: Will it harm my pets skin? Give me a reason to read more about how its going to keep the pests off and not harm my pet in some way. Putting it in an FAQ isnt going to work, especially since youve stated my Vet is wrong?? and the product is prescription drops coming from someone I dont know. That takes more selling than I saw there.Tell me why I would use it. BIO something or other isnt convincing me to part with money for it.
