Im thinking about majoring in business with a specialization in international business, but im also considering a career in technology. What will be more high in demand? Im afraid to go with the technology route because lots of stuff is being outsourced..but then again people are telling me I will be better of with technology. I dont think technology management will be a good idea either. A lot of people are also telling me to do engineering and then go later if i still want, i could go on to get a MBA. The only problem is, I dont think I have the will power and intelligence (im not that good at math) to go for an engineering degree. Even after taking everything into account, I still catch myself struggling to decide if I want to major in international business or technology. I have a balanced interest for both, so please dont tell me to major in whatever interests me the most. If you think I should major in technology, please specify what kind of a degree in technology you think I should go for?Im really looking forward to some great advice.THANKSSSSSS Answer1:My advice is major in something you really love whatever it is. Because do something that you really enjoy and has passion dont feel like work. First you can start working with others then you can start your own company when you have the experience.You know after high school I want to go do something IT related but unfortunately I was offer full scholarship from a very well known Oil company to do chemical engineering. I guess they thought my grades are better for the course. Since it was an offer to study abroad in the US I accepted it. And the result of it I failed in my senior years while doing chemistry. I end up coming back to my country and do computer science and after diploma I was offered another scholarship to further my study in the US but I dont accept it.And now I have quit my job as system engineer and venture into online biz. I believe my programming skill will help me a lot when I needed it at some point in the future because I have fun doing programming.So please major in something you enjoy doing and can make money at the same time not something because something has high demand. The thing is, businesss will always require management by a live person, technology on the other hand is very easy to replace with computers and robots. There may be a future in the jobs which work on the robots and computers, but then thats more of an engineering degree than anything else.
