I am a student right now going to the Art Institute online and getting my Bachelors degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. My lifelong dream is to open a Bed and Breakfast. Does anyone have any recommendations, or ideas on what to do/not to do? Any info is helpful :).--Answer1:Defiitely make sure you have some beds and something to eat when your guests wake up in the morning! :-P.--Answer2:steer clear of having too much "cutesy" clutter junk - Ive seen too many BnBs that try to be too chintzy Victorian era or something or other and it just really ends up looking cluttered and unappealinggo for stark roomsand the money you save from buying chintzy garbage clutter to "decorate" the rooms, use to invest in a good menuand have "free wi-fi" - it would be simple with just a wireless router"location location location" is always great advicetry to have a smoking room or two, in a separate area of the house maybeand provide a map to some local businesses, post office, etc..--Answer3:Make sure the beds are comfy, the food is yummy, and the customers are happy and youll be fine!.--Answer4:Inviting people you dont know into your home? Not my idea of fun.
