With the recession in swing, are there any businesses doing well apart from gas and electric. Thinking of starting a business and anything that can get through the recession must be a good bet? An inferior good is one whose demand increases as disposable income decreases, cheaper brands of bread for example. Id say go for a budget start up firm, one that undercuts others without quality suffering too much. Though things will change, and a stronger economy might adversely affect your business.
