Is there really free government money out there or are all the advertisements BS

I was just on some web sight that said I would get free money from the government for bills, or business, or car. So are any of these places true? cause of course the sight I was on I had to give my card information to pay for the shipping and handleing of the software that they were going to send me. If so what are some of the places I would go to get information..--Answer1:Theyre all BS. All those sites do is give you a book or a CD containing information thats available on line for free from the government. What those ads also dont tell you is that there is almost *no* government money out there for individuals. There is absolutely no such thing as any kind of government program that will pay peoples bills for them, or let them buy a new car. Heres a *free* list of what actually is available from the government:http://www.govbenefits.gov/govbenefits_e...Remember that legitimate information on goverment programs will always be found at a Web site that ends with dot-gov, not dot-com..--Answer2:The marketers have done their job by getting you to buy the book, CD or whatever. They are all in the same line as the stuffing envelopes scam. They entice you that there is money out there free, for the taking Unfortunately, theyre the ones doing the taking..the money from the ppl believing their pitch, Since theyve advertised a product, they provide you with a list of addresses, links, companies, etc. where you supposedly apply. True government programs provide scholarships, food stamps, medical svcs, housing loans, etc. Government programs dont advertise in the classifieds of the newspaper & any true govermental website will be a ".gov". Other helpful sources are ".org" You were right to question it. Its BS. I worked in state government & saw all kinds of scams.
