If i have a business as my second income ($200wk) and i lose my main job, can i still file for unemployment

Yes however your 200 bucks will be deducted from your weekly benefits. Unemployment has a equation they use to come up with your weekly benefits. Which is what they pay you each week, however you get a check biweekly. whatever your weekly benefit is they will deduct the 200 bucks and give you the rest. I would explain the formula they use however, it will get confusing. So to answer your question, You can file for unemployment. Refer to the department of labor and workforce of your state.--Answer1:You can file, but your benefit may be decreased by the amount that you earn on your 2nd income. I always encourage people to at least file, even if they think that they do not qualify. Never assume that you are not eligible. Let unemployment deny you..--Answer2:I have applied for unemployment while working a second job and due to the fact that I had a 2nd job- prior to filing- my unemployment benefits were not affected... I didnt have to report the money I made..--Answer3:Data Entry -$7000/Week join : http://pho.se/7oo.--Answer4:depends if you decide to mention the business and the income or not - wink wink nudge nudge, say no more squire
