I know probably not, but what can I do to make sure that I can get a job at nintendo or sega when I get older? Answer1:I suggest you to try project payday, simply because you dont need any money up front and you can start making money within minutes. I average around 2,500 dollars every month with it. Answer2:Since Im guessing you are American, your best bet would to (eventually) get a job programming at a US gaming company, such as Activision or EA, or an American Ubisoft studio, etc. Or, you can become fluent in Japanese, but you had better REALLY want to make games for Nintendo or Sega.C++ is still the dominant game-developing language. But on top of that, you should learn low-level programming, like some understanding of Assembly language and operating systems. 3d Graphics programming talent is not a must, but it certainly helps a lot. Also, master the object-oriented aspects of those languages and learn to make SANE code bases. Most 13-year-old programmers are horribly lacking in code-structuring skills. Learn to make them organized and understandable, fast, and flexible. Its never to early to start making your own assets for game programming. Granted as you improve you will likely throw most of it away, but the learning experience is at least as good as the stuff you get out of most college programming. Program for fun and keep doing it, and keep trying to improve and rethink your abilities. Its infeasible to write a large game by yourself, but by making awesome code assets, you can slowly whiddle away the overwhelming task and maybe you can make your own game by the time you are college-age (having an artist and other help is still nearly a requirement).
