I dont want the office fyurniture to cost me an arm and a leg..--Answer1:Buy it after the holidays when everything is on sale. Or re-work old pieces and make them look modern like on the HGTV shows..--Answer2:just find an old ratty sofa at a yard sale and stock the room with playboys, I bet you could charge for an extra service with your massages then.--Answer3:Go to a discount furniture store or redo old ones.--Answer4:The waiting area is the first impression. Use crappy furniture and that is the impression you will give the customers. You dont have to put Louis XXIV antiques in there, but whatever you use should be attractive, comfortable, and clean. Consider how many people will be waiting at a time. Maybe a nice sofa and 2 chairs will be enough? You can always dress up with pillows - find a nice clean-lined basic sofa and accent it up a notch. You could look in consignment shops (better quality shops, not Goodwill), but you could spend a lot of time that way since it will be so hit and miss. Rooms to Go or similar can set you up with a nice basic sofa - the Cindy Crawford collection is nice. Also go to the warehouse outlets for the major furniture chains - extremely good deals on closeouts, mismatched and damaged items. As others have mentioned, furniture stores have drastic discounts and long term financing - it will be even better after Jan 1, becuase the buying rush will be over and they will really be desperate.
