Ebay questions ************

I sold a projector to a guy on ebay, he got it and said there was something wrong with it, which there wasnt, it was brand new. He filed a claim with pay-pal so i told him to send the item back. He sent me a freaking BRICK! He kept my projector. And paypal gave him back his $400 so im out $400 now. Paypal told me to file a report with my local police and i tried but they said no. Is there anything else i can do??
      Answer1:Go beat his ***
Answer2:I have many years experience with Ebay. I have been through the resolution department with Paypal a few times and always won. What you say sounds fishy to me.It goes from a dispute to a claim, and theres a 20 day window between the two stages. If Paypal gets confirmation from the tracking number that it was received, it is possible they issue the refund, but if you received false goods you have recourse. They should take the $400 back from him pending confirmation of receipt of goods. In extreme goods, they can act as escrow and receive the projector for your behalf.Paypal wouldnt recommend the police unless you spoke to an idiot.Focus on Paypal getting the $400 from him and getting the projector from him. Call Paypal at 1-888-221-1161 and enter your phone number, last 4 digits for back account, and keep asking for "agent" and press 0.When you get a human, ask for the resolutions department. Then, quote your case number. Then, start explaining the problem. The condition of the item received has to be the same condition it was when it was sold.
Answer3:This clip of the "Peoples Court" may help you!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A12qtprly...Unfortunately, theres no quick fixes. Note that they were awarded $5000
