Buying a car on eBay safe or scam

Hi, I am thinking about buying this car on ebay, but the bid is too good to be true. First, they start the bidding at $200, and now the bidding is at $2000. The car looks in prefect, almost new, condition. Also, it says "Order an independent inspection." Should I bid for it or is it a scam? The sellers feedback is also 100%. But is it safe?Thank you for your help!
Answer1:If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But the way that eBay works is that there are a lot of bidders that dont bid until the last minute. If its at 2000 now, its very likely to go much higher before the bidding is done. If you buy anything on ebay, make sure there is a return policy of some sort. Check the feedback, read independent comments. They might have made like one good transaction and that person gave them positive feedback, see if multiple people said multiple things.
Answer2:In most cases it is safe but you should take advantage of, and pay for, ALL their protection services, including the inspection. Buying a car long-distance is always more risky than buying a car you can see, inspect, and drive. You cant always take the word of the seller about a cars condition.
Answer3:i wonder what the shipping charge is. I usually dont trust stiff like that. also, how much is the independent inspection? can you back out of the deal if the inspection is bad?i would never buy a car without a test drive.go to a local used car dealer.
Answer4:Is the seller local? Does the seller regularly sell cars? Can you go inspect the car? Can you pay for an inspection before accepting the vehicle? If all yeses, consider it.If the seller starts in with its a perfect car, Im in Europe, send me money via Western Union, or the magic phrase "I have $$$on deposit with eBays protection plan and well do this through eBays escrow program" RUN.
Answer5:Its a Scam..For all you know, that car was underwater in New Orleans in 2005.
