Which is better for business a blog or a website

When you have little cash to get started.
Answer1:A blog is definitely better as potential clients get an update on things on a daily basis. It would benefit you if you would allow past clients to also leave comments on the blog that supports the service that you have offered and can give you good recommendations. A website also offers options to build credibility for your company as it shows that the business is more serious and it feels alot more grounded. If money was a problem, a blog would be a good stepping stone before moving on to building a website.Good luck on your business :)
Answer2:If you have very little cash then go to www.godaddy.com and register a domain name for like $10 or less and point it to a free blog , register a free blog at www.wordpress.com or www.blogspot.com !!!Or you can host your own blog with a cheap host for around $20 a year depending on how busy and how big your site will be but a really good host or godaddy is about $5 a month !
Answer3:If you are interested in additional job, I would really like you to visit this website as a multiplayer.http://www.multiplayer.ws
      Answer4:buy domain-http://domainforsell.info/
Answer5:Website is better but can cost you money.Blog can be free and easy to set up.
Answer6:Not sure but I suppose there are advantages in both. If you are short of cash a blog on a free platform like Blogger would be the way to go. I think I would go for the cheap way first just to get a feel about how a web business would work. I found one opinion at the following:http://kostasmoneymine.blogspot.com/No doubt there will be pros and cons for both so do your research.
Answer7:A website is essential. Its like your business card or brochure. When I look for products, I very rarely use the phone book as my first step, even for businesses which I know are in my local area. Recently, I ordered some goods from several cities away simply because the company I chose had a good on-line catalog and ordering information set up while local businesses had no web presence except a very shoddy list of businesses in that field with out-dated phone numbers. When I did finally track down some contact info, they didnt know the answers to my questions. I was willing to pay extra for shipping because I felt it was worth the money for saving me the hassle of mucking around for longer than I needed to. --A website opens you up to international clients.Of course, you know all of that, Im sure; youre not asking *if* but rather, *which*.A blog is a frill, and perhaps a very useful one for keeping customers updated on current events which will affect their buying patterns, but a blog is not nearly as necessary as a basic site with product/service descriptions and contact information, and perhaps digital payment options. Websites are easy to maintain once built. You just update them with new product info and forget about it until something changes.A blog, on the other hand, people expect to be regularly updated. This means you are not just working to float your business, but you are also a publisher. You have to ask yourself if you want that extra task on top of all the work it takes to run your business.Blogs can be great, but it takes a lot of imagination and effort to make them great. Otherwise, theyre just an unnecessary and time-consuming complication. It is possible, however, to use a free blog service and design it to look and function like a regular website with the blog option minimized or turned off. This, however, takes some programming skills which are not quite as simple as basic HTML. It also means that you wont have a cool, "www.mybusiness.com" style address. This makes a difference in search engine results when potential customers and clients are looking for you.It costs $100 a year for a basic website and web address which expects only moderate traffic.Cheers!
Answer8:it totally depends on your investments. if u r a good business man with enough investment then for long term a website is more profitable. but if u have not enough money and want to earn money like 10000 per month(maximum) then u can start a blog. but it has limited facilities.
Answer9:I would go for blog but having a blog with comment boxs for people to comment e.g. clients, is not the reason why blog is great. Heres why and Ive been teaching and mentoring entrepreneurs on this for sometime now. People dont buy off you because of your prods or services, or how great your company is. They buy because its "their idea." They dont like to be sold to but love to buy. So, whoever positions themselves better will win the clients if done properly.1. A blog is great when you have your face, name, a paragraph not about your company. Why?You are branding you.You agree, that companies come and go. Right? But if you brand YOU, then no matter what happens, you will always have a following because they are following you not the company name. And no matter if you set up another business, they will continue to follow you.2. By sharing you, information about your life experiences, vision, articles that do not talk about products on your blog but solutions for your clients....you now brand yourself as an authority. For example, if you got a business and its skin care. You would have a blog of you, your face, your name, biography of you, where you can easily be contacted e.g. email, AIM, mobile phone. You know your clients pain and you know they want solution. Their pain is, they want to sort the lines on their face, or they dont know about chemicals in the skin care products. So since you know this, you share knowledge on how the skin works, why do lines develop, why do people have dry skin and some have oily skin, and how you can prevent these irritation on skin, and how to slow premature aging. Now, when your clients read this instead of "this product is so good, it has this and that, made from this and that. Our company is best la la la."As if they care. Now, people see you know your stuff. They see your knowledgeable and read your articles. They even share them to everyone online they know, which brings in more traffic.Plus.....when they get skin irrtation, or want makeup, or skin care...who do they go to first?YOU.You see, people say, "I want lttle money" but it takes effort, time, energy, knowledge, investing in you.Why would I ever want to buy from you, if you only want a little cash, and you are not willing to do this 100%? If youre not willing to really turn on the heat and get it done right and with 100% committment?People now online are getting savvy. Only broke people and greedy people, and fast buck people who like to set up business but pay NOTHING get...burnt, scammed, hurt.Because they are looking for trouble because they think business is setting up a blog and a website and thats it.Its not. Its a whole marketing strategy. A plan you must put on paper, plan it out, read and invest in yourself, in tools, in expert advice to get it done once and for all.Thats why thousands websites and blog are launched, and many will not make it.Dont do this for little cash. Better go and do some newspaper round or job.I advice anyone not to do this for little cash or ever set up a business if they are not willing to spend money. The idea that "its scam" to pay and launch a business, are really broke people mentality who may have got burnt before, because of their greed, and now think anything you pay or invest is a scam.Little money coming in takes great effort first, for a while for people to have desire and trust in you to buy.Are you willing to do the work to get that? If not. Forget it. It will waste your time if its not vision wise.
Answer10:Hi, goldfever,I do not know what is your budget. As far as I know, you can have both with very little cash.If you are having a website for your business, I recommend you to register a domain - $9.99 per year. This will make your business sound professional.I took a look at Godaddy.com, and I find that cheapest web hosting with MySql and unlimited sub-domain would cost less than $5.00 per month. If you have the budget, I recommend you to have sign up for one hosting instead of using a free hosting.Such hosting plan provides all the flexibility for you to have more content and tools in your business website. These tools would potentially help you to update your website easier, generate more traffic and many more.A single hosting plan would allow you to have BOTH a website and a blog for your business with no additional cost. You can use a content management system, e.g. Joomla! (http://www.joomla.org) for main page of the website. Your blog would be located at the sub-domain. eg. blog.mybusinesswebsite.com or www.mybusinesswebsite.com/blogThe total cost to have both would be around $70.00 per year or less if you sign longer term. Both Joomla! and the Wordpress blog (http://www.wordpress.com) are free software where you can download and install yourself.I hope I was able to help. Website creation is my area of expertise and I am always glad to share what I know.
