What do think about working for Farmers Insurance as an agent

Im looking for work and due to my resume being online Im getting emails from farmers recruiters. I have been on sales before but not my cup of tea. Perhaps this could be different. Anybody out there has had success with this company or any other insurance company? thank you I will appreciate your feedback.
Answer1:You will get countless e-mails from every insurance company on earth, as they see the word "salesman" on your resume. If and when you show up with these companies, as long as you appear professional and act it, you will be "hired". Hired means you are on your own after days and hours of brainwashing, showing you how easy sales are, and parading you down the hallways where plaques are hanging displaying your bosss successes and free vacations. You will be told, although not outright but very descreetly, to upsell potential customers. Sell what makes you huge commissions, not necessarily what is best for the client. You must know how to turn a no into a yes. You must be able to accept defeat, and bounce back. You must be ruthless, charismatic, talkative, and a know-it-all about many topics to small talk people. After surviving this if you can, you will be told to go to your friends, relatives, neighbors, and school and church chums to sell them, and ask them who else they recommend who may need your services. Soon you will lose your friends, relatives, neighbors, school and church chums as they will begin walking the other way upon seeing you. If you do not have a large network of people, you will be cold-calling, and getting hung up on constantly, and begin to hate life.Very few people make the grade. Way over 98% do not and leave in days or weeks. You will not hear about this. But if you keep your eyes open, you will see at your office every week a new group of potentials will be there listening to the same weekly speech that brought you there. If one in a hundred make it, the company makes money. This is how they recruit people. Its a numbers game, and it is a game. Everything you need you will pay for long before you make a dime. You will pay for classes, your insurance certificate if you actually get that far. If you are a good speaker, you will spend money on free lunches for a small group so they can listen to your speech. Have fun!!!!!!
