I really want to start my own business up making personalised gift hampers like those in america (cant really find anything like it in the UK) and also wedding towel cakes, baby clothes bouquets etc etc. I just think it might be a bad time with the credit crunch. My husband is very supportive but i dont want to let him down.What do you think?

      Answer2:IF you have researched your market, and determined that there will be a demand for the product, then it might be worth taking a chance. Business will not grind to a halt even in a recession.

I started my business last September, just as it all seemed to really blow up, then people started losing their jobs! As I offer a service to working people (Im a dog walker) I was worried, but Im not doing too badly. Do plenty of research, and get in touch with Business Link, and your local job centre as they will give you some contacts which should help.Good luck!
