I want to start my own business but with the credit crunch is it the best time

I really want to start my own business up making personalised gift hampers like those in america (cant really find anything like it in the UK) and also wedding towel cakes, baby clothes bouquets etc etc. I just think it might be a bad time with the credit crunch. My husband is very supportive but i dont want to let him down. What do you think?
Answer1:YES!! Richard Branson started Virgin in the middle of a recession!!but a word of advice dont put your ideas on a website without getting them copy righted !! good luck
Answer2:IF you have researched your market, and determined that there will be a demand for the product, then it might be worth taking a chance. Business will not grind to a halt even in a recession.
Answer3:i wouldnt advise it at the moment you will just put yourself and your money at risk.
Answer4:If you make sure you take all the advice that is available to you, go for it! I started my business last September, just as it all seemed to really blow up, then people started losing their jobs! As I offer a service to working people (Im a dog walker) I was worried, but Im not doing too badly. Do plenty of research, and get in touch with Business Link, and your local job centre as they will give you some contacts which should help.Good luck!
Answer5:go for it you will regret it if you dont try
