Buying and selling goods from China

I live in the UK and would like to set up some sort of e-business, Ive had a good look around and Ive narrowed it down to 256GB USB Flash drivesHDD drive media playersWhat other things do you think could sell well in the UK market and is it worth the initial outlay. Also are the chinese wholesale websites reliable? If I do go forward with this is it better to sell the products through ebay, or through my own website which I have yet to set up?*PS would I have to declare taxes from the profits made from these products, or can this be bypassed by using Ebay?
Answer1:Search: Business Empire MagazineIt wont let me put a direct link but they have a ton of information about ways to start or grow a business and should have answers to your questions.
Answer2:i am from china with 18 years trading experiences. do you need anything from china? contact me, i would like to share my experiences with you.good luck!
Answer3:I would not attempt to buy from China direct. Its very risky. I would advise using uk importers/distributors who can import vast quantities in one go. Have a look at www.thetrader.co.uk. I wouldnt yet set up a website. See if you can sll on Ebay and make a reasonable profit and build that up and then maybe launch a website later. You can get along ok as an unofficial amatuer but if its starts to pull in real money you will have to declare properly or it will come back and bite you later!!(I have imported 2000 items of clothing and 10,000 paintbrushes will arrive next month (both organised for my clients). A number of other projects are in the pipepline. I would be happy to help you also at a later stage).
