Amazon or Ebay for selling
Answer1:Ebay is more for crap and junk. You can use both, but remember that Ebay is auctions, and amazon is fixed price.
Answer2:Both!! It totally depends on what you are selling. If you are going with eBay, do your research first on the auctions. Go to www.terapeak.com or www.researcher.mpire.com to see what the item sold for in the past. Then when you are listing items, list them with www.auctiva.com and you can list a lot more and it is a free service. You need to build your reputation with both of them. With eBay, list items that you know are going to sell, but not high end items. Wait until you have at least a score of 20 and 100% feedback and then list high end items. People need to know they can trust you. Also, ebay is the busiest on Sundays from 7-9pm so that is when you will get the most of your traffic. If you have a high demand item, then list it on eBay and have people bid on it to get a higher return. (ex. a limited edition Elvis picture) If it is something normal and you dont think there will be a bidding frenzy, then list it on amazon. (ex. Wii game) Take a look at the fees too for both of them. Good luck and happy selling!
